How to Split a PDF

What page notation is accepted?

Comma-separated single pages and ranges: "1-3, 5, 8-10" extracts pages 1,2,3,5,8,9,10. Duplicates are ignored and out-of-range pages are clipped to the document length; the error message tells you the page count if nothing matches.

Can I split one PDF into many files at once?

The tool produces one output per run — run it multiple times with different ranges to create several files. Each run takes seconds since the upload is small relative to processing.

Why won't my PDF split?

Encrypted (password-protected) PDFs and files using the newest compression (PDF 1.5+ cross-reference streams) cannot be parsed. Re-save the file as "PDF 1.4 compatible" or print it to PDF, then try again.

Do the extracted pages keep their quality?

Yes — pages are copied, not re-rendered. Text remains selectable, images keep full resolution, and page dimensions are preserved exactly.
