What Does the PDF Splitter Do?
The PDF Splitter breaks a PDF apart in whichever way you need, and tells you how many pages the file has the moment you choose it — so you are never guessing at page numbers.
- Extract specific pages into one new PDF, using plain notation like
1-3, 5, 8-10. - Every page as its own file — a 40-page document becomes 40 PDFs, delivered as a single ZIP.
- Every N pages — split a 100-page scan into 10-page chunks.
- Into equal parts — divide a document into 4 roughly equal pieces, with any remainder spread across the first parts so no section is left tiny.
Pages keep their original quality, size and orientation; nothing is re-rendered or recompressed. It is the fastest way to pull one chapter from a manual, break a bulk scan into individual records, or share a single section of a long report.
How to Split a PDF
- Upload your PDF (up to the size your server accepts). The page count appears straight away.
- Choose how to split it: extract specific pages, every page separately, every N pages, or into equal parts.
- For an extraction, enter the pages to keep: single pages (
5), ranges (8-10), or both, comma-separated. - Click Split PDF.
- A single extraction downloads as a PDF; the multi-file modes download as a ZIP. Your upload is deleted right after.
Typical Splitting Scenarios
- Share only what's needed — send pages 12–14 of the contract, not the whole 80-page document.
- Separate combined scans — a batch scan of several documents becomes individual files (run the splitter once per document).
