Image Watermark Adder

Overlay text or logo watermarks with position and opacity control.

What Does the Image Watermark Adder Do?

This tool stamps a watermark onto your photos — either custom text (your name, brand or copyright line, with font size and color controls) or a logo image (a transparent PNG works best). Place it in any corner, the center, or tile it in a repeating pattern across the whole image, and dial the opacity from a barely-there 5% to fully solid. The watermarked image downloads immediately and your upload is deleted right after processing.

How to Watermark an Image

  1. Upload the photo you want to protect (JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 15 MB).
  2. Choose Text watermark (enter your text, pick size and color) or Logo watermark (upload your logo, set its size relative to the photo).
  3. Pick a position — bottom-right is the classic — and set the opacity (40–70% deters copying without ruining the photo).
  4. Click Add Watermark and the finished image downloads automatically.

Watermarking Best Practices

  • Semi-transparent beats solid — around 50% opacity marks ownership while keeping the image enjoyable.
  • Tile for maximum protection — a repeated diagonal watermark is far harder to crop or clone out than a single corner mark.
  • Size proportionally — the tool scales text with image height and logos with image width, so the same settings work on any resolution.
  • Keep originals — watermark copies for publishing; archive the clean original.

Photographers protect portfolio previews, shops brand product photos against marketplace scraping, and agencies mark drafts as proofs before payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which watermark is better — text or logo?

Logos look more professional and are more distinctive; text is quicker and needs no design asset. For a logo, upload a transparent PNG so only the mark itself overlays the photo.

What opacity should I choose?

40–70% is the practical range: visible enough to deter theft, transparent enough not to dominate. Use lower values for tiled watermarks since repetition adds presence.

Can a watermark be removed by someone else?

A determined editor can attempt it, but tiled or centered watermarks over detailed areas are very hard to remove cleanly. Corner watermarks can simply be cropped — choose position accordingly for valuable images.

Is my photo stored on your server?

No — the image is processed in memory, the watermarked result streams back as a download, and temporary data is deleted immediately.
